„My work must reflect who and what I am ─ whether or not anyone else can see it.
I realize not everyone can or will connect with what I do ─ most often because they can't, won't, or simply don't care. I've learned to use discretion, and selective intent when showing work. I've learned to consider sources and take all comments ─ positive or negative ─ with a grain of salt. I've learned to keep technique in its proper place ─ as a tool used to realize my reality, and nothing more. I slow down every so often and «recalibrate» ─ if I'm the same person as I was yesterday, then I haven't been paying attention.“
